Privacy
Your information.
What this website collects, why, and who it goes to. In plain language.
Who we are
Los Angeles World Embroidery & School Uniforms (“we”) runs this website. Questions about this page or your information: email hello@losangelesworldembroidery.com, call (323) 256-5799, or visit us at 3283 Fletcher Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90065.
What we collect, and why
- When you send a project request (Start a Project): your name, a phone number or email, your organization if you add one, what you want made (garments, colors, sizes and quantities, decoration, placement, the date you need it, how you’ll get your order, your notes) and any logo or artwork files you upload. We use it to answer you, prepare your design and quote, make your order and contact you about it.
- When you order from a school store: you check out on our online store (WooCommerce, at losangelesworldembroidery.com): your name, address, phone and email, and the items and sizes you pick. Card payments are handled by the store’s payment processor (WooPayments, powered by Stripe): your card details go to the processor, not to us.
- Your request’s tracking page: each request gets a private link that shows its status. It shows what you asked for, never your contact details or files. Anyone with the link can see it, so share it only if you want to.
- When you call, text or email us, whatever you choose to share.
This website’s request form never asks for card numbers, and you don’t need an account to use it.
What stays in your browser
Your project list, what you type into the project form (until you send it) and your school-store bag are saved in your own browser (its “local storage”) so you don’t lose them while you browse. They stay on your device until you send your request, empty them, or clear this site’s data in your browser. We can’t see them until you send them.
A logo or artwork file is different: it goes to our private storage as soon as you attach it, so big files work and a reload doesn’t lose it. If you never send the request, the file doesn’t reach our request inbox, and it’s deleted automatically within about three days.
To see how the site is used, we count visits with a simple first-party counter (Pulse, run by Veylen Studios, who run this website for us). It notes which pages are opened, how long they stay open, how far they’re scrolled and which parts come into view, where the visit came from, whether it is a phone or a computer, and taps on things like Call and Add to bag. It isn’t on the request form (Start a Project) or on tracking pages. It keeps a random number in your browser’s storage so a return visit counts once. It doesn’t use cookies and never records what you type. This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies.
Who receives your information
- Our request inbox. A project request and its files are saved in our private request inbox, which only our staff (and our web developer, when helping us) can open, after signing in. It runs on Vercel (which hosts this website and keeps the files) and Neon (the database service that keeps the requests).
- Our shop’s email. We also get an email about each new request, with your files attached, in our inbox (hello@losangelesworldembroidery.com), which is a Google Gmail account.
- Resend, the email service that sends us that email, and a copy to you if you gave us an email address.
- Vercel, as our web host, also handles technical details such as your IP address to deliver the pages. With each request, our form saves your browser type and a one-way code made from your IP address, to block spam and abuse; your IP address itself isn’t saved. The spam counters made from that code are deleted after two days.
- A delivery service, only if an order is mailed: your name and address, so they can deliver it.
- Content loaded from other services: the fonts come from Google Fonts, the map on our Contact page from Google Maps, and garment photos in the catalog from our apparel supplier’s image servers. When your browser loads them, those services receive your IP address and browser details under their own privacy policies; Google Maps may set its own cookies inside the map.
We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it with other companies for their marketing. We share it only as needed to make and deliver your order, or when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Requests, files and order records stay in our request inbox, our email and our records for as long as we need them for your order, a reorder, and our business records. Ask us any time and we’ll delete your request and files. After that, copies can stay in our email until we remove them and in our backups for a limited time.
Your choices
- Ask to see, correct or delete the information you sent us: email hello@losangelesworldembroidery.com or call (323) 256-5799.
- Remove items from your project or bag at any time, or clear this site’s data in your browser.
- Do Not Track: this site doesn’t track you across other websites, so a browser’s “Do Not Track” setting changes nothing here.
Children
This website is for parents, schools, businesses and other adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13. A parent may add a student’s name to a school-store order so we can label it.
Security
Pages and requests travel over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Your files are kept in private storage that opens only for people we’ve given a sign-in, and they’re attached to the email we get. No system is perfectly secure, so please don’t send sensitive details such as ID or card numbers through the form.
